Community Development Society is a non-profit organization acting in the public interest, established on the basis of the Sillamäe Integration Civic Initiative Center.
The objectives of the Society’s activities are:
- participation in projects and programs aimed at community development and the promotion of civil society;
- supporting local development;
- creating and implementing a system oriented towards the prevention of problems;
- fostering community life and self-initiative at the local level, networking with other non-profit organizations in Estonia and abroad, and advocating for the common interests of the Society’s members.
Mission: to support local development and strengthen civil society.
Vision: an inclusive and sustainable civil society at both local and national levels.
To achieve its objectives, the Society operates in the following forms:
- submits proposals to state authorities, government bodies, and local municipalities;
- concludes agreements with legal entities as well as individuals;
- organizes events, courses, seminars, camps, trainings, conferences, counseling and more;
- provides scholarships for participants/applicants engaged in the Society’s activities;
- offers services in line with the Society’s objectives.
